Allison Arbelaez


Allison is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received a Master of Clinical Social Work from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Allison has provided therapy to all ages and specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. She has worked in many different settings including elementary, middle, and high schools, adolescent and adult mental health clinics, and a clubhouse for teens. Allison has experience in working with individuals and groups with a variety of needs including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, anger, emotional regulation, self-harm, behavioral and social problems, adjustment challenges, and many different mental health diagnoses. Allison utilizes a client-centered approach; she is empathetic, non-judgmental, and holds unconditional positive regard for her clients.


Allison strongly believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and tailors therapy to each individual’s personality and needs. Allison employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, and creative ways of learning such skills as mindfulness, emotional awareness, relaxation, problem-solving,  positive mindset, grounding techniques, and positive coping skills. Allison is passionate about helping and supporting others so that they reach their goals, thrive, and live the greatest quality of life possible.
