Alyx is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University in 2014 and Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in 2020. She firmly believes counseling and therapy can serve as a wonderful tool to your overall well-being and mental health and loves helping others on their journey to wellness, no matter how big or how small the goals.

Over the past two years, she has built on her experience working with children, specifically in a therapeutic setting. Alyx often utilizes expressive art therapy techniques and play therapy techniques to best support children but also incorporates other techniques as needed. She especially enjoys supporting children who struggle displaying appropriate social skills, managing ADHD, experience a lack of impulse control, or struggle forming satisfying friendships. When it comes to teen and young adult clients, Alyx enjoys aiding those clients in identifying and navigating stress and unhealthy habits. Overall, she is very passionate about serving children, parents, and adults alike.

Alyx also integrates a cognitive-behavioral approach throughout the various interventions used and believes if clients are able to challenge and reshape unhelpful thought processes, they can better help themselves navigate challenging moments when it counts the most. Ultimately, Alyx aims to create a place for clients to feel comfortable and supported being their true selves while simultaneously equipping them with the necessary tools to achieve a healthy state of mind. Alyx is under the supervision of  Chelsea Harris, LPC, ATR-BC, CPCS.
