Parenting can be stressful and parenting a preteen or teen comes with its own set of challenges and worries. It can be difficult to find a healthy balance of parenting teens appropriately while also allowing them to have some independence. This can be especially difficult if your teen is also dealing with a learning disability, emotional disorder, or ADHD. It can affect your child’s academic performance, attitude about learning, their self-esteem, and their behavior at home. In this supportive group, parents will learn:
- Strategies and ideas for how to get your teen more involved in family life and spend less time in their room
- How to help your teen deal with the pressures of social media
- How to establish an agreement for technology time and rules for social media apps
- Finding a better balance of parenting while also allowing your teen a little more freedom
- How to help them maintain healthy friendships
- How to help them if they are struggling with a learning disability, emotional disorder, or ADHD
