“You don’t take a photograph; you make it”-Ansel Adams

Middle School and High School boys and girls will learn photography skills and how to express themselves through photography while building self-esteem, connecting with their emotions, and reducing depression and anxiety. Projects will involve:

  • How to customize settings on the camera to create a certain mood or tone

  • Identifying and analyzing emotions

  • Learning how to capture certain emotions in photographs

  • Selfies and self-expression

  • Perspective and composition

  • Mindfulness

  • Self-exploration and personal insight

  • Sharing photos and receiving constructive feedback

  • Stress relief

Nicole has owned a photography business for over a decade and can teach your teen how to use their camera-even on their smart phone-to take better photos and to provide them with a creative outlet for stress, depression, or feelings of frustration. Any type of camera is welcome including DSL-Rs, point and shoots, or smart phone cameras as Nicole can customize the lesson based on the capabilities of the settings.
