Laura is passionate about helping young people navigate mental health challenges. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is currently pursuing a master's degree in social work at the same institution.
In her previous work with children in Title 1 schools, Laura provided emotion regulation support, taught coping skills, and helped improve literacy. This experience reinforced her dedication to helping children develop the skills they need to succeed. Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In her sessions, Laura implements a strengths-based perspective with a holistic approach, which she believes provides the client with a feeling of self-agency and will create longer lasting therapeutic outcomes. Further, she believes in creating a supportive and understanding environment where her clients can feel safe and heard.
Her dedication to helping adolescents grow and overcome challenges is at the heart of her work, and she continues to learn and develop new skills to make a positive impact in their lives.
