MADISON (MADDY) SEYRES

Maddy obtained both her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of West Georgia. Maddy is an associate counselor (LAPC) and is under the supervision of Chelsea Harris, LPC, ATR-BC, CPCS. Maddy has a background in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as an ABA Therapist. In therapy, Maddy utilizes an integrative approach that includes Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Expressive Therapy. Maddy is certified in and utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in sessions to work on managing strong feelings, help children and teens understand difficult feelings, and promote mindfulness strategies.
Maddy works with a diverse range of stressors and diagnoses including anxiety, ADHD, Autism, behavioral challenges, self-esteem, and social skills. Maddy also works with children and teens to reframe negative self-talk and improve emotional recognition and regulation. Maddy believes that empowering and validating clients are important in their therapeutic process to achieve their goals. In her spare time, Maddy loves to travel, spend time with her puppy, and binge watch Marvel movies.
