Nafisat earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and her Bachelors of Science and Art in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Georgia. As a former teacher, Nafisat has experience fostering a positive working environment with elementary-aged children with an ADHD diagnosis. 

 

With a deep passion for multiculturalism and a commitment to fostering personal growth, Nafisat specializes in empowering children, teens, and young adults through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and client-centered techniques to address a range of issues including ADHD, self-esteem challenges, depression, and emotion regulation. Nafisat creates a supportive and culturally responsive environment where clients can develop essential counseling skills and boost their self-esteem.

Driven by a belief in the unique strengths and potential of every client, Nafisat works collaboratively with families to promote resilience and emotional well-being. By tailoring interventions to meet each client’s individual needs and cultural background, Nafisat helps young clients build confidence, navigate challenges, and achieve personal growth.

Nafisat is currently under the supervision of Chelsea Harris, MS, ATR-BC, LPC, CPCS.
