COVID-19 Update

We WILL have In-Person as well as Virtual (online) social skills groups FALL 2020.  Most groups begin August 3, 2020 with open enrollment adding appropriate group members throughout the school year.  For the month of August, all group members will be required to wear face coverings/masks in the common areas of the office (hallways and waiting room) as well as in the group rooms. Our groups are limited to 45-minutes to allow for disinfecting and sanitizing between groups.

Our Social skills enrichment program offers a number of different social skills groups ranging from groups for children and teens with ADHD and anxiety, to children and teens who need practice becoming more assertive and confident, as well as groups for children and teens with Asperger’s and other diagnoses. Our unique social skills groups use creative expression, art, play, and interactive games to enrich your child’s interactions with peers.  We teach critical social skills; provide an opportunity to practice the skills while receiving individualized coaching and valuable feedback; and use art to create tangible reminders of the skills so that they generalize into your child’s everyday life.  We are unlike other programs because our social skills program was designed by an Art Therapist; in addition, we use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, and creative, fun art activities to teach social skills.  Our goal is to emphasize your child’s strengths and to provide your child with the skills and confidence to make and keep meaningful peer relationships.
