Individual Therapy

Art + Creativity

We often use art as a vehicle to deliver therapeutic support. However, we are committed to providing an array of services that meet the needs of each individual. Some adolescents feel more comfortable participating in talk therapy, while others find the process of therapy to be easier once explored through creative expression or hands-on experiences.

Group Therapy

Art It Out offers year-round group therapy for children to support social-emotional growth, friendship skills, emotional regulation, and more. With over 100 weekly groups, we carefully place each client based on their individual goals and group fit.

Our groups serve children experiencing anxiety, impulsivity, social challenges, or difficulty managing big emotions. Goals addressed may include making and keeping friends, managing frustration, improving communication, handling teasing, and practicing flexibility and cooperation.

Each 50-minute group session consists of an average of 6 group members led by a therapist and a graduate intern. This allows for highly individualized support in the group environment. Group includes engaging, multi-sensory activities and ends with a brief therapist-led summary for caregivers. Therapists also offer optional check-ins mid-semester, at the end of, or as needed, to discuss your child’s progress.

We require an intake for new clients to ensure thoughtful group placement. Since 2009, we’ve been a leader in group therapy, known for creative interventions and intentional care.
