Teresa Woodruff

OWNER

Teresa is the founder and owner of Art It Out Therapy Centers. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). Teresa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the University of Georgia and her Master’s in Counseling & Art Therapy from the University of Louisville. With extensive experience in working with children and families, she launched Art It Out in 2009 to provide a space where individuals of all ages could use creativity to enhance their social and emotional well-being.

Teresa is deeply passionate about the transformative power of art as a means of self-expression, a way to communicate difficult or complex emotions, a method for gaining insight into hidden thoughts and feelings, and a tool that provides a concrete reminder of coping strategies. She mentors other therapists in integrating art-based techniques with psychotherapy to help clients improve self-esteem, manage anger, reduce anxiety, navigate life transitions, process grief, and strengthen communication skills. Teresa has worked extensively with clients facing challenges such as low self-esteem, anxiety, adjustment to parental divorce, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, developmental disorders, and chronic or acute medical conditions.

Active in the Atlanta therapy community, Teresa has also served on the board of Kate’s Club, a non-profit organization supporting grieving children and families. While Teresa is currently not accepting new clients, she oversees and trains other clinicians at Art It Out.

Chelsea Harris

DIRECTOR

Chelsea is the Director of Art It Out Therapy Center’s Atlanta and North Druid Hills offices. As a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work. Chelsea holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s in Art Therapy from Florida State University.

From a young age, Chelsea recognized the power of art as a way to heal and communicate. She grew up witnessing the impact of art-based programs in a homeless shelter run by her father, which sparked her lifelong commitment to using art to help others. Over the years, she’s supported individuals with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, learning differences, grief, life transitions, parenting support, and family dynamics.

Chelsea has a strong background in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and a variety of learning differences. She previously served as the Coordinator of the preschool program at Early Emory, the Emory Autism Center’s lab school, where she developed the Social and Adaptive Learning through Visual Expression (SALVE) program. This innovative, art-based program supports adults on the autism spectrum in using visual arts to express themselves and connect with others. The program received funding from a grant by Autism Speaks, reflecting Chelsea’s dedication to making a difference in the autism community.

Throughout her career, Chelsea has contributed to several research studies exploring the benefits of art therapy for individuals with ASD, including her article “Discovering Good Practice for Art Therapy with Children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder,” published in The Arts in Psychotherapy.

Now, as the Director, Chelsea leads both the Atlanta and North Druid Hills teams, overseeing the delivery of individual and group therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. She plays an active role in supporting her teams to provide services that address a variety of needs, including emotional regulation, coping strategies, anxiety management, social skills, and parenting support. Chelsea is deeply committed to the local community and to supporting mental health through accessible and compassionate care, ensuring that every person who walks through Art It Out’s doors feels heard, supported, and empowered.

Alexandra Turnage

THERAPIST
Alexandra is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS).  She obtained her Masters of Education in Community Counseling from the University of Georgia in 2014 and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Clemson University in 2012.

 

Alexandra has 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Alexandra is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Alexandra has also been trained in Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents (TGCTA). The majority of Alexandra’s experience has been working with high risk youth and adolescents. Alexandra has experience working with crisis behaviors, suicidality, self-harm, depression, mood dysregulation, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity, oppositional defiant disorder, and anxiety. Alexandra truly believes that familial involvement in therapy is key to producing change with children and adolescents. Alexandra will often incorporate family sessions into treatment for that reason. Alexandra also believes in approaching therapy from a strength-based perspective in order to help children, adolescents, and families identify their strengths in order to utilize them to create positive changes in their lives.  

Alana-Maria Kirby

THERAPIST

Alana-Maria is a counselor pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Truett McConnell University. Alana-Maria completed her internship and volunteer work at Art It Out, where she gained extensive experience working with adolescents and teens in both individual and group therapy settings.

Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, life/ family transitions, self-esteem, coping skills, and supporting clients with ASD as they build emotional awareness and life skills. She works from a person-centered and strength-based approach, combining creative and holistic methods to meet clients where they are. She believes that healing begins through support, self-discovery, and recognizing the unique qualities that already exist within each person.

In her sessions, Alana-Maria integrates talk therapy with creative and reflective interventions to promote insight, self-expression, and emotional regulation. She draws from Person-Centered Therapy and Strength-Based Therapy while incorporating mindfulness and art-based practices to create a space that is collaborative, compassionate, and growth-oriented.

Alana-Maria’s decision to pursue counseling was shaped by her experience in seeing the impact of compassionate support and community. She is passionate about guiding clients toward greater self-understanding, confidence, and empowerment. She finds deep fulfillment in helping individuals develop effective coping strategies, strengthen communication, and foster resilience for navigating the complexities of life.

She views each individual as a uniquely created being with a rich array of abilities, inner resources, and potential. Her goal is to help clients recognize and nurture those qualities through a warm, hopeful, and collaborative therapeutic process.

​Alexis Basik

THERAPIST
 

Alexis is a Master of Clinical Social Work (MSW) therapist and is actively pursuing her licensure (LCSW). She obtained her Bachelor of Social Work and her MSW degree from Florida State University.

Alexis has over seven years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. In 2019, Alexis became a certified Trust-Based Relational Intervention® Practitioner (TBRI®) through Texas Christian University. She has been certified in Child-Centered Play Therapy with Neurorelational Emphasis (CCPT-NE) through the Playstrong Institute, certified in Child Welfare Practice through Florida State University, and is finishing her certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Alexis has experience working in the dependency system in a position with the Special Needs Adoption Unit. She has worked at a group home in Bolivia with children aged 5-23 years and was responsible for the training, implementation, and daily intervention of the home’s trauma care program. Alexis has also worked in a private practice setting, providing outpatient counseling services to women, families, parents, adolescents, and children. Her areas of expertise are Trauma, Foster Care/Adoption, Attachment and Bonding, Child Abuse/Neglect, Depression, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Anger and Aggression, and Family Conflicts.

Alexis specializes in coping methods, de-escalations, identifying stress triggers, and working with children and their support systems in both the prevention and the processing of trauma or stress. She is dedicated to educating others on how trauma/stress impacts the brain, development, and attachment. Alexis is passionate about creating and implementing trauma-informed interventions to assist individuals in growing, learning new skills, and meeting the goals they create for themselves. Alexis combines Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Art, Child-Centered Play (CCPT-NE), and TBRI® therapeutic interventions to work with her clients.

Alexis is currently under the supervision of Chelsea Harris MS, ATR-BC, LPC, CPCS.

Becca Gold

THERAPIST

Becca is currently in her last semester of her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Agnes Scott College. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from King University in Bristol, Tennessee, along with an MBA in Healthcare Management. Since completing her studies, Becca has been working at an eating disorder treatment center in Atlanta, where she facilitates CBT and DBT groups for children, adolescents, and adults.

Becca adopts a strengths-based approach with her clients, creating a safe and compassionate space that promotes growth and healing. Her clinical areas of interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and ASD. Operating from an Existential-Humanistic framework, Becca incorporates DBT, CBT, and IFS interventions to best support her clients.

Becca works with children, adolescents, and adults who present with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief or loss, attention struggles, social skill struggles, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Danielle Friedman

THERAPIST
Danielle is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) that draws upon a comprehensive background in psychology and counseling. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Kennesaw State University and a master’s degree in psychology with a focus on professional counseling from the University of West Georgia.
 

Her approach to therapy is multimodal, drawing from various psychotherapeutic theories and expressive arts to support children, adolescents, teens, and adults in their journey towards integration and connection. As a nationally Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II) with specialized training in trauma-informed expressive arts therapy (EXAT), Danielle is equipped to work sensitively with individuals who have experienced trauma and significant stress. She focuses on fostering healing and secure attachment through creativity and co-regulation, helping people reconnect with their inner selves and build a sense of safety and trust. 

She is also passionate about supporting clients through life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and identity exploration with a particular emphasis on cultivating resilience. As part of her practice, she facilitates process-oriented groups that nurture meaningful social connections and explore themes surrounding emotional awareness, emotional expression, self-advocacy, self-esteem, and resilience. Her goal is to create a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, empathetically attuned, and empowering. By incorporating playful, cooperative, and communicative elements of art and play, she ushers in a creative and unique process that promotes self-understanding, growth, and connection.

Danielle promotes holistic well-being and authentic self-expression in her therapy sessions. She integrates mindfulness and body-centered practices into her approach, encouraging clients to actively engage in embodied, present-moment awareness. This engagement nurtures self-awareness, the quality of relationships, and supports meaningful change.

In her personal time, Danielle finds purpose in nurturing her own mind, body, and spirit through continuing education, deepening her yoga practice, and connecting with nature. She enjoys music, exploring different cultures and foods, all things fantasy and sci-fi, and cherishes her close friendships.

Emma Burgin

THERAPIST

Emma is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR). Her focus is on young children and families, adolescent females and young adults struggling with identity, depressive, and anxiety disorders. Emma specializes in working with clients and families facing moments of transition, when the

messiness of life can become overwhelming and symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, identity crisis, and low self-esteem can emerge. Her therapeutic style combines her training in art therapy and family systems therapy, with a creative, exploratory, supportive, interactive, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach.

Emma’s approach to therapy stems from the belief that every individual is a unique work of art; each with their own story, collection of struggles and way of interacting with the world. Her clinical priority is to collaboratively tailor therapy to highlight this individuality and develop a space where clients feel heard.

 

Therapy sessions with Emma include insight-oriented art interventions and skills-based approaches to support clients with emotional expression and regulation to better manage daily stressors, relationships, and personal obstacles. Emma brings special attention to the importance of relationships, bringing families into the therapeutic process and strengthening therapist-client connection. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in attachment and person-centered humanistic theory and draws from her

training and experience with art therapy and evidence-based psychological theories, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-based practices such as Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). As a trained trauma therapist Emma is aware of how the past can influence present symptoms and creates a therapeutic space for clients to securely explore and

reframe these experiences. 

 

Emma holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Art History from Emory University. As a licensed professional in both California and Georgia, Emma is committed to maintaining a culturally humble and inclusive practice.

 

Emma spends her free time reading, snuggling her calico cat, baking cookies, experimenting with art forms, doing yoga, and playing video games.

Jada Milis

THERAPIST

Jada is a dedicated mental health professional with a deep passion for supporting individuals as they navigate personal growth, healing, and life’s challenges. She earned her Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia and is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) as well as a National Certified Counselor.

Jada also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Georgia Gwinnett College. Throughout her academic journey, she gained valuable experience working with foster children, connecting individuals with community resources, and teaching life-enrichment classes. These experiences continue to shape her commitment to understanding, supporting, and uplifting diverse communities.

In her clinical work, Jada uses an integrative therapeutic approach that blends Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Expressive Arts

Therapy. She emphasizes the individuality of each client and supports them instrengthening all areas of their lives by exploring the eight dimensions of wellness: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual. Jada is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is actively working toward full certification. Through TF-CBT, she helps clients safely process trauma narratives while building essential coping skills such as emotional regulation, relaxation, and mindfulness. Throughout this process, she collaborates with caregivers to enhance communication, reinforce support systems, and promote healing within the family.

Jada specializes in working with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and individuals. Her clinical interests include behavioral concerns, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, pre/post-partum challenges, dyslexia, learning disabilities, personal identity development, bi/multicultural identity, life transitions, trauma, grief, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), low self-esteem, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Jada is committed to advocating for her clients by equipping them with the tools, insight, and confidence needed to regain

autonomy, build resilience, and thrive through personalized treatment plans.

In her personal time, Jada enjoys traveling, working out, trying new foods, and spending quality time with friends and family. She also loves listening to music, painting, and drawing.

Jenna Buthman

THERAPIST
Jenna is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Queen’s University of Charlotte. Jenna has seven years of experience working with children as a preschool teacher and continues to support students in her role as the Associate Preschool Counselor at the Atlanta Speech School. 

 

Jenna has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, grief/loss, divorce, life changes, fear, frustration, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), perfectionism, and executive functioning. Jenna leans towards cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy. She utilizes a strengths-based approach focusing on the individual and their positive abilities. Jenna believes that family involvement is essential for children and adolescents in therapy and encourages familial collaboration. While creating a safe, warm, and positive environment, she provides a controlled space for clients to practice learned skills and techniques. With a history in the theatre, she is outgoing, energetic, and creative. Jenna often utilizes her creativity in the form of art or movement activities.

Jenna is under the supervision of Chelsea Harris, LPC, ATR-BC, CPCS.

Jeremy Haysman

Jeremy is a therapist, musician, and creative who brings warmth, authenticity, and curiosity into the therapeutic space. He earned his Master of Social Work from Kennesaw State University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Georgia.

Jeremy has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents through both individual therapy and group facilitation. Throughout his clinical work, he has supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, low self-esteem, behavioral concerns, identity development, and life transitions.

In addition to individual and group therapy, Jeremy also works closely with caregivers to provide support, strengthen family relationships, and encourage positive behavioral and emotional growth across environments.

His therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and highly individualized. Jeremy integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to help clients build insight and develop practical skills they can use in daily life. He values creating a safe, collaborative, and active therapeutic space where clients feel supported in practicing new tools and approaches in real time.

Jeremy is especially passionate about helping clients use creativity, self-awareness, and connection as tools for healing and personal growth.

Laura Lozano

THERAPIST

Laura Lozano is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) who believes the combination of personal experience and the creative process can be a powerful tool for healing, self-understanding, and growth.

Laura works with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem challenges, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, difficulty with self-expression, and patterns that may leave them feeling stuck or disconnected. She integrates Art Therapy with CBT and ACT-informed approaches to prioritize exploration of emotions, building resilience, developing greater self-compassion and flexibility.

Laura’s style is warm, collaborative, and acceptance-based. She strives to create a space where individuals feel safe being fully themselves while discovering new ways to cope, connect, and grow with or without the integration of creative or expressive processing.

Laura is also fluent in Spanish and offers services in Spanish for clients and families if preferred.

In her personal time, Laura enjoys traveling (especially back home to Colombia) and being active- running half marathons for fun. In her downtime, you would most likely find Laura scouting out the best Matcha and pizza in ATL.

Maddy Seyres

THERAPIST

Maddy Seyres is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She obtained her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of West Georgia and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Maddy has a background in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as an ABA Therapist.

In therapy, Maddy utilizes an integrative approach that combines Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Expressive Therapy. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and incorporates DBT skills to help clients manage intense emotions, improve distress tolerance, strengthen interpersonal relationships, and develop mindfulness practices. Maddy is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which supports children, adolescents, and families in processing traumatic experiences while building coping skills such as emotional regulation, relaxation, and resilience. Maddy utilizes a multicultural approach to therapy, intentionally addressing and acknowledging clients’ identities, cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences as they relate to their current challenges, strengths, and therapeutic goals.

Maddy specializes in working with children, teens, and adults, ages 3 and up who are experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioral challenges, self-esteem concerns, friendship difficulties, social skills development, life transitions, changes in family structure, trauma, and emotional regulation. She enjoys helping young clients identify and express their emotions, build confidence, develop healthy coping strategies, and reframe negative self-talk. Maddy collaborates closely with caregivers, schools, and other support systems to help children and teens experience success across environments.

In her work with adults, Maddy supports clients navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, stress management, emotional regulation, and personal growth. She strives to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can explore their experiences, increase self-awareness, and build practical skills to move toward meaningful change and improved well-being.

Maddy also provides parenting support and consultation, partnering with caregivers to strengthen the parent-child relationship and address behavioral, emotional, and developmental concerns. She offers parenting sessions focused on effective communication, positive behavior management strategies, emotional coaching, and fostering healthy family dynamics. Additionally, Maddy collaborates with school professionals to develop and implement strategies that support children both at home and in the classroom.

Maddy believes in empowering and validating her clients throughout their therapeutic journey. She strives to create a warm, engaging, and individualized therapeutic experience by incorporating each client’s interests and strengths into treatment. In her free time, Maddy enjoys traveling, spending time with her puppy, and watching Marvel movies. She is also a big fan of Harry Potter and Bluey.

Martha Selph

THERAPIST
Martha Selph is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in individual and group settings. She has worked with various issues including depression, anxiety, behavior issues, trauma, and crisis management. Martha’s foundations in her practice are derived from Evidence-Based theoretical models such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Strengths Perspective, Solution Focused (SFT), expressive therapy techniques, and Client-Centered Therapy. 

Prior to Art It Out, Martha gained experience at Live Life Counseling, Hillside Inc., and Summit Ridge Hospital where she provided individual therapy and crisis support for families and individuals in home, school-based, intensive outpatient, and in-patient settings. 

Martha believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and her goal is to help normalize the therapy experience while providing a compassionate and supportive environment. She is passionate about helping people work through life’s challenges and helping them to identify their own strengths and resources so that they may be empowered for future obstacles.

Rachel Blankenship

THERAPIST

Rachel Blankenship earned her Master’s of Science in Art Therapy from Florida State University and her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from East Tennessee State University. After completion of her Master’s in Art Therapy, she was awarded a prestigious Fulbright grant to attend the University of Stirling in Stirling, Scotland where she earned her Master’s of Science in Sport Psychology. During her time at the University of Stirling, her dissertation research focused on the use of art therapy with collegiate athletes. She also collaborated with the Scottish Racing Academy to create resources for national racing athletes to help manage feelings of burnout, develop personalized coping strategies, and strengthen goal setting skills.

Rachel has played soccer since she was two years old. Throughout her athletic career, she played four years at the Division I college level at East Tennessee State University, and one year at the professional level in Skövde, Sweden. These experiences shaped her passion to help athletes at all levels manage high levels of stress and anxiety,  navigate injury and recovery, and build positive social identities both within and outside of sport. Rachel strongly believes that art therapy provides unique benefits to athletic populations who may struggle to verbalize their experiences by providing an outlet for them to identify, share, and process complex emotions.

Rachel specializes in working with adolescents and young adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Rachel utilizes a strength-based approach that empowers clients to recognize and build upon their existing strengths to promote personal growth, resilience, and positive change. Rachel holds an Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) license and a Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-P) credential.

In her free time, Rachel loves staying active and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys reading and hosts a book club podcast with her sister!

Rachel Kim

Rachel obtained her Master’s in Social Work at Columbia University and her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at Kennesaw State University, where she strengthened her passion for mental health care. With her experience in social work, she has developed strong communication skills and a deep understanding of diverse life experiences. These roles allowed her to connect with individuals from a variety of cultural and personal backgrounds, equipping her with the empathy, patience, and adaptability essential for building trust with young clients. Her ability to listen attentively, respond with warmth, and tailor her approach to each child’s unique needs makes her especially skilled in creating a safe and supportive space where children can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Rachel strongly believes in therapy’s role in fostering mental wellbeing. She also has a passion for using art in therapy, as she has used art as a form of expression herself. Rachel has a strong interest in helping adolescents reach their goals and helping them create strong relationships with their families, peers, and their own selves. During her internship at Art It Out, Rachel gained various skills to help deliver informed care in both group and individual settings. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and body image/eating disorders. She utilizes a strengths-based approach as well as CBT to create a space of openness and reflection.

Savannah Miller

Savannah is a devoted helper and healer pursuing Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure who brings warmth, curiosity, and creativity into every session. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Emory University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Agnes Scott College. Her scientific background deeply informs the way she understands and approaches therapy, and fuels her passion for helping children, adolescents, and young adults make sense of their inner worlds and move toward the lives they want to live.

Savannah’s therapeutic approach weaves together Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy techniques, grounded in a strong foundation of neuroscience-informed practice. She believes that understanding how our brains and bodies respond to stress, emotion, and connection helps clients feel less alone in their experiences and more empowered to shape what comes next. By integrating expressive arts into her work, Savannah offers clients of all ages a way to explore feelings that words alone can’t always reach, whether they’re untangling anxious thoughts, rewriting the stories they tell about themselves, or learning to live alongside difficult emotions with greater flexibility and self-compassion.

Savannah works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, strengthening self-direction, changes in family structure, ADHD, ASD, trauma, behavioral challenges, low self-esteem, and the everyday challenges of growing up and growing through. She strives to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and genuinely her clients’ own, where healing can happen at the pace that’s right for them.

In her free time, Savannah can be found honing her culinary craft, reading non-fiction, playing metroidvania video games, walking her dog (Sir Chloe), snuggling her cats (Socks, Speedwagon, and Elizabeth), or spending quality time with friends and family.

Serye Kim

Serye’s journey into the field of therapy is deeply rooted in her diverse cultural background and her passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. Born in South Korea and raised in the United States, Serye’s multicultural upbringing has given her a unique perspective on her practice as a therapist. She attended Hendrix College in Arkansas, where she pursued a dual degree in psychology and Spanish, laying the foundation for her understanding of human behavior and communication. Serye continued her education at Agnes Scott College in Georgia, where she earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Serye is currently under the supervision of Chelsea Harris, MS, ATR-BC, LPC, CPCS. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of challenges, with a particular focus on children and adolescents facing issues such as anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), depression, and emotion regulation difficulties. In her therapeutic practice, Serye adopts an integrative approach, drawing from various modalities including Adlerian therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and expressive therapy utilizing art. She believes in the power of collaboration and works closely with each client to co-create personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. Serye places a strong emphasis on building a supportive therapeutic alliance, recognizing that it serves as the foundation for meaningful growth and healing. Silvana Ebong

Silvana is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) with a passion for helping individuals achieve their personal goals. She holds a Master of Education in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Silvana is a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and a certified ALERT program provider. 

Silvana is a culturally competent counselor with extensive experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. As a bilingual native Spanish speaker from Argentina, she understands the profound impact language can have on communication. Silvana believes that language has the power to transport individuals to different emotional landscapes, allowing clients to express their feelings and recall painful memories more effectively.

She empowers her clients to embrace their authentic selves while guiding them to align their behaviors with their core values. She is dedicated to teaching clients how to establish healthy boundaries, resolve conflicts, and cultivate inner peace as they navigate relational challenges.

With a passion for supporting both children and adults through life’s complexities, Silvana equips her clients with the tools and strategies needed for meaningful change and personal growth. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of stressors and diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, trauma, behavioral challenges, and socio-emotional skills.

Her theoretical approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Graduate Interns

Kaytie Eastin, Intern Program Director

Kaytie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who completed her Master of Social Work at Kennesaw State University with a focus in Children and Family Services in 2015.  Kaytie has extensive experience working with children and teens who have experienced traumatic events, have difficulty adjusting to transitions, display defiant behaviors, experience anxiety or depression, and experience challenges regulating their emotions. She believes that families and their environment play an integral part in a child’s life; thus, she strives to improve family communication and relationships of the clients she works with.

Kaytie’s goal is to have the client succeed and thrive in all areas of their lives.  Kaytie utilizes a strengths-based approach, as well as motivational interviewing and mindfulness techniques, to support her clients in learning and utilizing coping skills to help them navigate through challenging transitions and events in their life. She also believes in utilizing creative approaches to interventions with clients to provide individualistic care and practice.

Prior to coming to Art It Out, Kaytie worked in providing therapeutic care coordination to youth who have experienced commercial child sex exploitation as well as for youth in foster care with severe mental health and behavioral challenges.  Kaytie additionally has extensive experience in providing educational wraparound support and advocacy for youth, as well as supporting families and youth with navigating school systems to ensure youth are appropriately supported in their school settings based on their individualized needs.  Kaytie is passionate about working with youth and families and enjoys building a trusting relationship with youth to create a safe space for them to express themselves and progress towards their self-identified goals. 

Aspen Moore

Aspen Moore is a dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at the University of West Georgia. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University. She brings experience as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting children on the autism spectrum, where she developed a deep appreciation for meeting kids exactly where they are and supporting them through patience, connection, and celebrating every win.

 

Aspen is passionate about helping children, teens, and families express themselves in meaningful and creative ways. She integrates cognitive-behavioral, DBT, IFS,mindfulness-based, narrative, and somatic approaches, along with play and expressive interventions that help clients understand feelings, build coping skills, and strengthen emotional regulation. Aspen believes that healing grows in safe, supportive relationships and that creativity can be a powerful doorway into insight and confidence.

 

With a background in psychological research on identity, learning, and student experiences,Aspen brings both curiosity and cultural awareness to her work. She strives to create warm, inclusive spaces where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore their emotions, discover their strengths, and navigate life’s challenges with resilience.

 

Outside of sessions, Aspen enjoys mindfulness practices, nature, and anything that invites slowing down and reconnecting with the present moment. She is excited to support clients at Art It Out through creativity, compassion, and a warm, grounded presence.

Casten Donaldson

Casten Donaldson is originally from Greenville, South Carolina and relocated to Georgia in 2016. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of West Georgia and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University.

Casten has professional experience working with adolescents and individuals across various age groups in both behavioral health and supportive service settings. These experiences have strengthened his passion for helping others and guided his decision to pursue counseling.

He values building meaningful therapeutic relationships and believes in meeting individuals where they are with empathy, support, and understanding. As he continues his clinical training, Casten remains committed to personal and professional growth while developing the skills needed to support clients from diverse backgrounds.

Danielle Scheinman

Danielle is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Agnes Scott College. She holds a Master’s in Public Health from Emory University where she focused in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education. For the past several years, Danielle worked in the field of public health supporting child wellness through program evaluation. She uses this background and experience as a foundation for understanding the many ways individuals are a product of their environments.

Danielle has a passion for working with youth and their families to provide a safe and nurturing space to grow. She is particularly interested in walking alongside children struggling with developmental trauma, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties. With a strong belief in the impact of childhood experiences, Danielle employs aspects of Adlerian Theory and Internal Family Systems to address client concerns while incorporating art and play to create a warm and collaborative environment.

Danielle believes that everyone is the expert of their own life and has the capacity for change; she is simply there to support along the way. 

Hailey Detwiler

Hailey is currently earning her master’s degree in social work at Florida State University with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026. She currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.

During her generalist internship, Hailey worked in hospital case management providing care to patients across the lifespan while supporting patients at varying levels of crisis. Through this experience, she developed strong crisis intervention skills, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress environments, particularly within the emergency department. It was here that she discovered a passion for working with adolescents, especially those navigating crisis situations.

Through her coursework she has also gained an interest in working with groups and families. She takes a strengths-based approach and incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy techniques while remaining mindful of each client’s unique environment. She  recognizes that relationships, surroundings, and experiences all play a role in our mental health. She is also eager to adapt her own passions for creativity into her therapeutic approach. Hailey is excited to continue growing her skills working with children and adolescents. She is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming space where clients from all walks of life feel comfortable to be themselves.

Lauren Gately

Lauren is currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Georgia, where she majored in psychology and minored in philosophy. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at Gateway Domestic Violence Center and was later hired as both an early learning specialist and a weekend/overnight house manager. Through this work, she developed strong advocacy skills and the ability to support individuals and families navigating crisis. 

Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, crisis intervention, and helping clients release feelings of shame through self-compassion and self-forgiveness. Lauren believes that healing often begins with understanding and accepting all parts of ourselves. In her counseling work, she draws from Gestalt therapy and holism to deeply understand her clients, and she integrates evidence-based techniques from person-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. 

Lauren is dedicated to listening to and understanding her clients’ stories and lived experiences, and she strives to create a collaborative, supportive therapeutic environment.

McKenzie Miller

McKenzie Miller is an Atlanta native completing her graduate internship at Art It Out as part of her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Emory University, where her passion for working with children first began. During her undergraduate years, McKenzie worked in a private K–8 school’s aftercare program, sparking her interest in child development and emotional growth.

For the past five years, McKenzie has been on staff at this school, spending the last two years in the counseling office. There, she provided group skills classes for the youngest learners as part of their weekly curriculum, helping children build social-emotional foundations in a school setting.

McKenzie is deeply committed to equipping children with an “emotional toolbox” to navigate everyday challenges and expand their emotional literacy. Her clinical interests include supporting children experiencing General Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, ADHD, Defiant Behaviors, OCD, and major life transitions. She views the family and other systems in a child’s life as integral to the healing process and intentionally tailors her work to support the child’s entire environment.

She incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet the needs of each client, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian therapy, Family Systems, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Gestalt approaches. McKenzie is dedicated to fostering resilience, emotional understanding, and a strong sense of self in every child she works with.

Robin Olson

Robin has been an art teacher for the past 17 years, spending time at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She currently teaches drawing, painting, and darkroom photography part-time at a private high school.  Robin graduated with a BFA in Art Education from the University of Georgia in 2003 and earned a master’s in art education from UGA in 2005. Pursuing art therapy has been a career goal of Robin’s for many years, and she is currently in her final year of her master’s program in Art Therapy at Pennsylvania Western University.

Robin has experience working with children and adolescents, and especially loves working with teenagers. Robin has seen firsthand the power of art and the healing that comes from encouraging people to practice self-expression through creativity and artmaking. Robin is passionate about helping others, and her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, self-confidence, self-awareness, and adjustment. Robin believes in the power of using art to cultivate mindfulness and presence. She is eager to bring her warmth, openness, and compassion to her internship, supporting children in their emotional and psychological growth through the healing power of art therapy.

When Robin is not interning at Art is Out, she is making art with her spouse and kids, listening to music, reading, dancing, traveling, or snuggling with her dog, Daisy.

Sherri Radney

Sherri earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mercer University and an MBA from Columbus State University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Cornerstone University.

Sherri brings over 20 years of professional experience in engineering and project management, where she developed strong skills in relationship-building, communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and supporting diverse teams through complex challenges. For more than 15 years, she has worked extensively with youth through Christian education and STEAM mentoring programs and has supported marginalized populations, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As an ordained minister with 10 years of ministry experience, Sherri is also a Certified Biblical and Association for Coaching Life Coach.

Sherri’s clinical interests include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, child and adolescent counseling, faith-based integration, trauma-informed care, anxiety, and depression. She is passionate about providing empathetic, culturally responsive, and person-centered care. Sherri values creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journey. She looks forward to collaborating with clients to help them navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful growth and wellness.
