Social Skills Summer Camp in Atlanta

Social Skills

Summer 2020 is our 12th year offering Social Skills Summer Camps! Our Social Skills Summer Camp is an intensive social skills experience including art, drama, interactive games, and creative expression. Our goal is to help children and teens have more successful peer interactions and gain social confidence. We target critical social skills, such as:

  • Making and keeping friends

  • Listening and following directions

  • Joining in with peers

  • Communicating and compromising

  • Starting a conversation

  • Staying on-topic

  • Making a good first impression

  • Going with the flow

  • Managing anxiety

  • Expressing frustration appropriately

  • Gaining confidence with peers

Activities

Our summer camp includes 30 hours of intensive social skills therapy led by a master’s level clinician and is reimbursable based on out-of-network insurance benefits. Children have fun while learning valuable skills, receiving in-the-moment coaching regarding applying skills, and gaining peer feedback. After the conclusion of camp, parents receive an extensive letter summarizing their child’s camp experience, skills of focus, areas of growth, and recommendations on how parents can continue to develop their child’s social skills.

Each camp meets Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm.

Fees

Fees: Cost is $950. New clients are required to pay an additional $160 intake fee. Call us to schedule an intake to learn more about our program, determine best group placement, and define goals. A $450 nonrefundable deposit is required, which will be applied to the final balance. The remaining $500 will be due on the first day of camp.

Social Skills Therapy camps are offered at both our East Cobb and Vinings locations.

The last hour of camp (Friday at 2:00pm) includes a one-hour parent meeting which will teach parents how to implement camp skills.
