Catherine is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia. Her mission is to create a person-centered and strengths-based environment for each client.
Catherine's clinical experience includes a plethora of settings including inpatient hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs. She has also worked with a variety of ages ranging from young children (ages 4 to 5) to adults and geriatric clients. She is most passionate about working with teens and young adults who are struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, depression, school-related stress, and low self-esteem. Catherine utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Rogerian-style therapy. She has also received extensive training in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and social anxiety.
Overall, Catherine wants to create an atmosphere where clients feel supported and at the center of their own treatment, heard and understood, and well-equipped with skills they can utilize in everyday life.
