Martha Selph is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in individual and group settings. She has worked with various issues including depression, anxiety, behavior issues, trauma, and crisis management. Martha’s foundations in her practice are derived from Evidence-Based theoretical models such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Strengths Perspective, Solution Focused (SFT), expressive therapy techniques, and Client-Centered Therapy. 

Prior to Art It Out, Martha gained experience at Live Life Counseling, Hillside Inc., and Summit Ridge Hospital where she provided individual therapy and crisis support for families and individuals in home, school-based, intensive outpatient, and in-patient settings. 

Martha believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and her goal is to help normalize the therapy experience while providing a compassionate and supportive environment. She is passionate about helping people work through life’s challenges and helping them to identify their own strengths and resources so that they may be empowered for future obstacles.
